i wondering if can this. we have gpp deploying shared printers each pc in our bui cilding.  changed on out print server , moved printers on new server.  updated gpp current print server information.  computers picked updated policy fine, handful of computers keep trying connect old print server.  causing each pc's print spooler crash.  if run gpupdate /force, seem connect print server isn't there anymore.  is there can short of reimaging each pc?  remove group policy settings each problem pc , let them reapply, hoping solves problem. any other suggestions appreciated.  oh each pc running windows 7 32-bit. hi, i found post discussed same issue, may try resolution: if reboot server printer redeployed properly. possible when printer deployed network still not prepared rpc error popped up. please try following suggestions: 1. disable fast logon feature enable [computer configuration \ administrative templates \ system \ l...

hi all, description of our setup: virtual hosted environment containing ad server(server 2k8 r2, ad-server), provides shares our organisation. both networked , vpn users can access these shares fine, 1 expect. however, 1 particular division of 12 staff utilises fileserver (server 2k8 r2, "file-server") onsite @ 1 of our locations. our shares used mapped drives, , aside divison required shares hosted ad-server. any directly networked device can access shares on file-server, including 10 out of 12 relevant employees (located onsite). however, other 2, based @ home, cannot access file-server's shares while on vpn. indeed, cannot communicate networked device (i.e. ping device plugged network @ 1 of our offices), hosted environment itself. i have confirmed our hosted environment provider unfixable , have little control on given virtual, hosted one, hope achieve following: instead of these 2 users attempting access shares directly file-server, can somehow pr...

i used windows server 2012 connector tool migrate local profile domain account on ws2012e server.  problem is, when user logs in laptop, call laptop1 using domain account call domainuser1, laptop1 still using folder old local account (we call localuser1).  laptop1 machine used migrate local account domain account.  when domainuser1 logs in terminal, call desktop1, takes long time login.  after initial long login time, can log in other terminals not laptop1 machine normal login speed.  goes login laptop1, takes forever again. my theory laptop1 using different sid domain/local account, causing slow login speed, windows has update permissions files.  confusing scenario explain, hope following me. to recap: domainuser1 logs in laptop1 - local profile uses folder c:\users\localuser1 if domainuser1 logs in other terminal - local profile computer uses folder c:\users\domainuser1 my theory difference causing slow login times.  no other ...

hi, i encountered strange problem when booting server 2012 via iscsi initiator.  the problem affects servers have more 1 nic. i determined through experimentation if iscsi boot solution not write nic ibft (iscsi boot firmware table), windows not start nic.  the nic's properties in device manager "this device not working because windows cannot load drivers required device.
