2008 DFS multi site server configuration

setup: server 2008 box running our file server in main office > server 2008 r2 (newly setup) in branch location newly promoted domain controller.

goal: setup dfs replication between 2 sites , have each sites users pull files off sites server.

i have setup dfs in 1 site before knowledge had limited. right plan setup dfs on both servers in main office , replication. pretty done of now. questions follows:

1 - entails making physical move main office branch office? realize have setup new site in "sites , services" dc, maybe have similar dfs operate correctly?

2 - want users in branch office pull there files off newly setup server in dfs. automatically based on sites location? there confiration need go through?

i have done reading cant find right words answer questions.

hi,

as said, need create second size in ad sites , services and create subnet.

then need move related servers to second size, namespace servers know in own site.

also check inter-site transports --- ip --- site link, confirm cost set correctly.

in dfs management, right click on dfs namespace, choose properties, find "ordering method" option. default is set lowest cost config need.

Suspicious event log Event ID: 4905

DCOM received error "2147746132" from...
