RDS Server 2012 R2, Outlook 2010, Hosted Email

afternoon all,

i have odd problem , have spent days on without luck...

we have brand new server 2012 r2 server, rds installed , working..

on server have office 2010 (patched sp2). clients on server have outlook 2010 setup use rpc on http connect cloud based exchange service, hosted colt / thinkgrid..

if try add hosted account info outlook, setting rpc connection point mail.ccscld.net, struggles find server , add account..., 8-9 times out of 10 fails... when setup , account added.., when run outlook fails saying exchange server not online..., is..

as test, if go webmail portal, https://mail.ccscld.net web page comes fine , can login..., know client can see colt servers..

i tried test, , add own office365 account system, again using rpc on http settings , fails in same way...

as yet test, pure chance, our parent company has server 2012 r2 ts, again using outlook 2010, tried adding account on , fails again...

the odd thing latter i'm sure working fine on 22/02/14 when set up..

so leading me down road of 1 of latest patches may responsible problem i'm seeing..?

i've been thru usual stuff on one, registry fix adding hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\office\12.0\outlook\rpc\deftconnectopts etc.., , has made no difference...

this new server sitting in office furher 40 desktop pc's connected cloud based email , work fine.., problem seems purely down server 2012 r2, outlook 2010 (patched sp2) , using rpc on http connect our cloud hosted exchange..

any be seriously appreciated on one.., i'm jump out of window!.

i have once seen behavior in days of office 365.

the consultant working on case @ time "fixed" problem turning off "bypass proxy server local addresses" check in internet explorer connection options tab.

so had (round robin!) address mail service being treated internal , wouldn't.

i'm not saying it's definite solution, did "any help" ;)

try ip addresses on outlook clients possibly connect using rpc/http, , see if can find pattern?

Suspicious event log Event ID: 4905

DCOM received error "2147746132" from...
