migrating groups

hello,

i trying migrate win2008r2 domain win2008r2 testing purposes

i have read admt guide there still a couple of things confusing

i have made 2way trust, disabled sid filtering , on..

if understood correctly , have first have migrate global groups>users>security trans>computers

the questions have is:

if users member of built in groups , users migrated target domain, not have membership anymore in target domain=> know can't migrate built in groups because sid same in source , target domain, there way that  after migrating members of builtin group?

best regards

>>>>if understood correctly , have first have migrate global groups>users>security trans>computers

this order not requirement.  for example can migrate user , select migrate , fix group membership options.

>>>but there way that  after migrating members of builtin group?

since these built-in groups has sid, won’t able update them directly.

your options are

  1. replace permission using security group
  2. chris has option listed here - http://blogs.chrisse.se/2012/02/29/how-to-handle-built-in-domain-groups-with-admt/
