hej hej . .    i have set network rdp environment for assigning applications users. remote applications placed in special folder in start-menu. works (sometimes slow connect) there serious doubts setting environment. on own system have no serious issues, when i'm connected network (local or vpn) but a lot of other users have problems working on remote apps. on system don't have application installed, other users have (most) applications installed on local system. when open word document got question opening remote or local, when not connected on network . .  okay need connection, other users not connected (working abroad/customer site etc)   is there an possibility to automatically choose application (rdp or local) depending on connection ? so, not connected network default local applications  ip adres . . . connected lan or vpn default remote apps . .    thanks in advance       ...

i have number of seem identical virtual machines on esx running windows server 2008.  after sort of 'event' (hard shutdown of hypervisor), of these vms asking upon startup why shutdown machine.  answer, , seems happy.  go restart vms, , (as expected) ask why i'm restarting. here gets odd... though shutdown part of restart seems go perfectly, upon login system asks why system had been shutdown.  behavior indicates unclean shutdown.  tells me restart, appeared clean, apparently failed along way , therefore didn't clean 2 files tell windows clean shutdown occurred. this 2 part question: - how can 1 tell clean shutdown failed?  (i've combed through event logs , don't see helpful) - has seen , been able fix (nope, no av software or rim software... see various people talking being guilty party)? thanks! hi, i checked errors mentioned in log , here of them: error 12/13/2014 8:27:30 microsoft-windows-grouppolicy 1006 none processing ...

i have domain setup @ small company. there 2 windows server 2003 ad/dns servers replicating. server1 "primary" domain controller/dns server , server2 "secondary". server2 running rras remote vpn access. i have logon script each user automatically map drives hostname when login domain. mapped drives stay mapped after log out. not deleted. however, i'm having trouble when users take work laptops home , try access mapped drive. example, when connect vpn, can ping the file server called plankton hostname ("ping plankton") and of course ip fine on win xp home system. on win 7 ultimate, cannot ping plankton "plankton". have put in whole fqdn.  "ping plankton.company.com". one user called me last night , said connect mapped drive, showed few folders believe created, , not folders , files on server. tested creating folder on his, , looking folder on connection see files/folders. believe...
