Assistance identifying source of WinMGMT handle leak

hi all,

i have windows 2008 r2 sp 1 domain controller has handle leak in winmgmt. have have 15 dcs same build , patch level not experience handle leak. use scom monitoring.

i have used information in http://blogs.technet.com/b/yongrhee/archive/2012/06/28/how-to-troubleshoot-service-host-svchost-exe-related-problems.aspx blog narrow cause down winmgmt.

currently svchost of winmgmt using around 75k handles, although has been in many hundreds of thousands before.

using handle.exe can see 500 of handles of these "event" handles

example output handle:

c:\users\username\desktop>handle -a -p 2132 | find /c /i "event"
75090

  be8: event

has got experience identifying source of these wmi event hooks? there way see individual hooks confirm same, , possibly identify scripts causing them?

cheers!

shane
