Trying to figure out which OS is best for me.
i have few websites built companies , i'm new "server" stuff. i'm trying put them online, can make necessary changes company wants make. these sites going temporary, downloaded windows server 2008 through msdnaa. when these sites ready go up, i'm going purchase copy through ms, along new hardware.
i'm using ws2008 @ moment, had 20gig partition it, used leftover space put ws2008 on it.
guess last part is, how publish these sites on ws2008? need go through iis ____? that's thing find, , each tutorial started going through sucked. 1 through ms website, tells download 2 pages & when go pages...the stuff isn't there. goes on other stuff.
tried apache, kept getting errors while installing on w7. easier use apache?
so...main questions:
os or program should use publish websites?
can find tutorial shows step-by-step instructions of how publish website os/program of choosing?
os-operating system.
lot, hope didn't ask many questions.
