Is it possible to connect two physical NIC's to one Microsoft Virtual Switch?

i acheive failover in virtual machine. scenario this:

host server 2 quad-port nic's, 1 branded broadcom , 1 branded intel total of 8 ports. virtual machine connected public lan via dedicated external microsoft virtual switch via physical intel port. physical port on broadcom adapter connected lan host management.

if pull cable intel port conected microsoft virtual switch simulate nic failure, network connection virtual machine lost. how can avoid this? ideally done adapter teaming, since have 1 broadcom , 1 intel, cannot done.

i'm thinking both physical nic's attached microsoft virtual switch, in turn have connection virtual machine. should 1 physical nic fail, network connection virtual machine still functioning.

please advice :-)

os: server 2008 r2 sp1, core.

hi,

as samir mentioned, choice teaming. however, network teaming provided hardware vendors, may have known, don’t support hyper-v network teaming officially. may contact manufacturer of hardware vendor have more information on compatibility information. may wait other customer's experience sharing on this.
