good morning. i have question regarding way im imaging pc's.  firstly want point out im using imagex capture completed image desired drivers , software.  this has worked perfectly.  i able deploy image wds 100% now here question.  during deployments im noticing 3 things.  first , foremost product key.  we not use vlk yet. using oem licences.  is there way setup unattend file prompt product key during deployment?  also im looking relatively same thing happen computer name. keep in mind pc captured image has activated product key installed. want deployment overwrite key , install proper oem key on new target pc input manually. same thing pc name.  alternatively there way use "bogus" key (for lack of better term) on reference image cannot activated?  then re capture image using imagex, use unattended install prompts key input , pc name input?? thanks assistance. mike human knowledge belongs world mdt ...

hi everyone i creating new domain has 1 dc , 10 windows 7 pro clients , couple xp pro clients. have domain controller , running fine. problem started when tried deploy folder redirection. what have user's documents/pics/music/etc folders redirected spot on server manage files. i've done server 2003 in past , never had issues setting or while in use. files saved e:\users\%username%. i've named server "server" because 1 have. have created folder on server , have shared folder "user$". has full permissions on share. ntfs permissions have authenticated users modify permission. how setup 2003 1 , worked fine. then setup gpo called "folder redirection" in group policy , linked whole domain. each folder setup basic redirect. root path \\server\user$. applied restarted , folder redirection appears work fine logged in administrator account on server. however, when try logging in on computer joined domain, folders not redirect properly. inste...

hi! work small company department me, appreciate can get. company comprised of 8 computers (all windows 7 – 32, others 64 bit) in small lan , 1 single windows 2008 server r2 on cloud vpn, nat, application server , else. basically, trying put our resources on our server in cloud, including new educational application have purchased. application uses sql server 2008 express r2 database. i configured server (via remote desktop connection) routing , remote access including vpn , nat. so, when computers in office connect vpn via pptp, able internet through server fine excellent speed. however, application bought crawling on windows vpn. mean, takes 2-3 minutes information popup in screen when first open application. after that, takes 1-2 minutes each single action when browsing through application … when test odbc connection in odbc data source administrator screen (from of our windows 7 machines), takes less second test complete successfully. below steps have taken in vain...

hi, i activated first kms during last days succesfully on windows server 2008 r2 kms c-key. working planned , servers activated. there still questionsmarks in brain, ask around following statements (true or false): now have windows 7 enterprise kms-key, liked install on same machine (w2k8 r2), server key. after researching found, can't activate 2 separate kms-keys on 1 machine. further can install kms key activation of windows 7 enterprise windows 7 machine, because won't able add or windows 7-key on w2k8 r2-host. is right , way? i'm confused little bit, because saw statements in technet like: "a kms hosted on windows 7 can activate client operating systems , kms hosted on windows server 2008 r2 can activate both client , server computers."
