DFS error

hi, while running dfs commands(dfscmd) getting below error

system error 8341 has occurred.
a directory service error has occurred.

also observed there turquoise colored circle on problematic dfs root , there no events in eventlog find issue.
any 1 has idea indicates? let me know how enable debug logging dfs.

btw, server running win2k3 sp2 r2.

do use frs or dfs-r replicate dfs root , link? in order word, install dfs-r on windows sever 2003 r2 sp2?

 

could please outline full strings of command input? perform further research, please take screenshot of command line , error message , collect directory service version of mpsreport (mpsrpt_dirsvc.exe) on that problematic server , domain controller. you may send them tfwst@microsoft.com

what have viewed on dfs root turquoise colored circle, same following screenshot shows? if so, indicates replication topology normal.

for convenience, have list 2 tables. following tables list possible status indicators dfs roots, links, , targets. these status indicators remain on namespace element until restart snap-in or choose refresh command on action menu.

dfs status flags roots , links 

root or link	description
folder icon (yellow)	no known status.
folder icon green check mark	all targets reachable on network , referrals enabled.
folder icon yellow exclamation point	indicates 1 of following conditions: ·         all corresponding targets reachable on network 1 or more targets has referral disabled. ·         some corresponding targets not reachable on network.
folder icon red x	indicates 1 of following conditions ·         all corresponding targets not reachable on network. ·         all corresponding targets have referrals disabled. ·         the root path unreachable.

 

dfs status flags targets

folder icon green check mark	target reachable on network.
folder icon red x	target not reachable on network.

 

as dfs debug logging, based on research, dfs debug logging enabled default.
