Windows Server 2008 TS CALS's licensing error
we have installed ms 2008 server sp1 on sun vm , ad on separate vm. licensing server running on terminal server. connecting hp thin clients work no issues whatsoever , 2 netbooks connect via rdp third party tool similar citrix. 1 of directors connects same third party tool different laptop home. when set things up, working fine, month later started having issues netbooks connecting ts.
we bought series of ts cal's per device , per user (some provided our partnership pack) , installed them. licensing server configured per device setting. when go terminal services configuration tool, presented 2 errors:
- the terminal services configuration tool running local account credentials. licensing diagnosis not able discover domain or forest license servers automatically , total number of ts client access licenses available value may inaccurate.
- the terminal server in per device licensing mode, license server 10.0.0.3 not have windows server® 2008 per device ts cals available.

i have put links ts licensing manager jpeg show way ts cal's installed , see if of can shed light. i'm sure i've done wrong along way :)

please logon server 2008 terminal server, open terminal services configuration (tsconfig.msc), double-click on terminal services licensing mode, change per user.
you may able re-install existing per device licenses per user. may need contact clearinghouse , explain them made mistake , intended purchase per user. if need contact clearinghouse please reference article below. it is windows 2000, still relevant to server 2008.
