Publish certificate to GAL - Exchange linked mailbox user

hi,

we have main forest with exchange in , second smaller forest users have linked mailboxes main forest. forests have trust relationship between them.

we have built ms pki infrastructure , trying implement e-mail encryption (s-mime). everthing working fine inside main forest (sertificates published ad , gal , user able send encrypted messages eash other). in smaller forest, when try publih user certificate gal (using outlook 2010) there error message pop-up saying server offline or certificate not valid. managed manualy export certificate , import in linked user atribute in main forest , solves problem.

qusetion is: there a way publish certificate gal in case of linked mailboxes?

please first check problematic user's permission:

 

1. start aduc , in view tab, click advanced.

2. find user, right click , choose properties.

3. switch security tab.

4. in group or user names, there "self" in list.

5. choose self, , in lower pan, make sure "read personal information" , "write personal information" checked.

 

then, please check if problem continues. if so, since problem related exchange server, suggest ask in exchange server forum.
