Hyper-V clustering, how to assign multiple VM networks to cluster
hi all,
here setup:
2 dell 2950 servers running 2008 server datacenter edition, hyper-v roles installed. trying cluster them following resources:
- fc san (was able create quorum , data cluster volumes no problem)
- 1 nic cluster management
- 1 nic server management , normal host network operations
- 4 port nic vm networks used balance network load between vms
when create cluster, 3 networks created:
- cluster management network
- server management network
- 1 of vm connections (they on same subnet)
i have read might have place each of vm nics on separate subnet in order cluster services pick up. so?
can team 4 nics , use create cluster?
any responses appreciated.

hi,
you can team 4 nics, however, let know microsoft doesn't support teaming officially. may contact manufacturer of hardware vendor have more information on teaming. may wait other customer's experience sharing on this, understanding.
