Linux DHCP & Windows DNS

hi

i have linux based dhcp server , windows 2008 r2 based dns server; can dhcp server to dynamically update dns server if dns server in secure , unsecure updates mode cannot dhcp server update dns server if dns server in secure updates mode.

can assist please?

why not allow unsecure updates , call day ?

it depends on dhcp server running under linux, , possibly linux distro/version.  may have better luck posting on linux boards, here post isc dhcpd doing secure updates... http://blog.michael.kuron-germany.de/2011/02/isc-dhcpd-dynamic-dns-updates-against-secure-microsoft-dns/  (it's in english not german)

DFSR RPC replication errors 5014 1726 with large files over VPN
