Advanced Audit Configuration on Windows Server 2008 R2 Core

i'm having problem applying advanced audit configuration settings via group policy windows server 2008 r2 core systems.

i have created new policies, used existing policies, , result seems same, windows server 2008 r2 full instllations advanced audit configuration settings applied core systems not.  i've verified 2 ways, gpresult, core systems not have settings listed in results while full instllation servers , auditpol /get /category:*  core servers not have settings defined in group policy object while full instllation servers do.

you can see example of gpresult in screenshot below - fs01, left, core server no advanced audit configuration , fs02, right, full installation, advanced audit configuration, same policies apply.

is expected behavior or not working should?  there more need configure?

thanks,
joe
