Sharepoint 2010 - Error update SPFile Property Numeric Metadata

hello.

i receive error  "file exception: microsoft.sharepoint.spinvalidpropertyexception"   when i try update spfile.properties spfieldtype  "number" .  have insert value decimal like  "2.5" .
