Complete Refresh of Client Reporting?

my domain using wsus uses acronis to mass deploys of image.  in event, wsus need not influenced previous reporting of confirmed install , need complete new scan accurate.  will wsus on it's own or need delete computers , re-add them groups when appear again unassigned computers? (i have yet confirm appear again unassigned computers).  as of now, when reimage computer, it's not showing new status of updates (i know there needed ones) if run few command line options /reportnow or /resetauthorization.

first off, thank both of helping me out this.  wonderful , helpful information.  second, after looking @ wsus documentation , kb article link posted, appears version 7.0xxxx of update client performs hardware check , susclientid regeneration if has changed.  so, have update our client on our machines , we're golden.

Suspicious event log Event ID: 4905

DCOM received error "2147746132" from...
