Changing Domain Level to 2003

i upgraded 2 x windows 2000 domain controllers windows 2003 std. sp2 no longer have windows 2000 dc's. domain level still set though @ windows 2000 mixed , have exchange 2000 sp2 running on windows 2000 server in environment. safe bring domain level windows 2003 having exchange 2000 still in environment? or changing domain level affect domain controllers , not exchange servers? i'm curious if bringing domain level 2003 have affect on our exchange mail server.

yes,
as microsoft knowledgebase article 322692 (how raise domain , forest functional levels in windows server 2003) points out:

network clients can authenticate or access resources in domain or forest without being affected windows server 2003 domain or forest functional levels. these levels affect way domain controllers interact each other.

Suspicious event log Event ID: 4905

DCOM received error "2147746132" from...
