Cluster node addition fails on cleanup

we have 2 node cluster setup already

(2) hp bl460c g8 servers connected vnx5300 san (nodes 1 & 2)

server 2012 datacenter installed

quarum: node + disk

all failover tests went , vms healthy

verification on cluster show warnings no failures

we have rebuilt server (node 3) renamed , have run single machine verification test see if suitable clustering. succeeded minor warnings

we ran verification on 3 machines , received formentioned warnings no game stoppers, when trying add host cluster following error in logs:

warn mscs::listenerworker::operator (): error_timeout(1460)' because of '[fti][initiator] aborting connection because netft route node <machine name> on virtual ip fe80::cdf2:f6ea:5ce:5f9c:~3343~ has failed come up.'

this happens after node added cluster reports failure on cleanup processes , reverts back. have done of under domain_admin account.

before , after attempt add netft adapter in media disconnect, during attempts pull down 169 address supposed to

node 3 networking breakdown

the new host uses intel/hp nc365t quard port adaptor

port 1: mgmt : static assignment subnet 1

port 2: vm net: static assignment sibmet 2

port 3: heartbeat: assigned via dhcp subnet 1 pool (we have attempted above disabled well)

ncu not installed adapter , bridging in server 2012 not enabled.

i @ loss, , appreciate additional have spent 3 days researching try , find cause.

the error message mentioned ipv6 address, have enable ipv6 network cluster?

check ipv6 network configuration in 3^rd node server, what’s status, enabled or disabled?

when 2 or more cluster nodes running ipv6 heartbeat communications, require additional nodes join running ipv6. if node server has ipv6 disabled, fail join.

also whether these cluster node server has antivirus software installed, may temporarily disable , rejoin new node.
