Referencing the computer domain in the username @ logon instead of using a static domain name
we connect remotely (via rdp/rds) client machines using commercial product maps remote machine local (reusable) pool of addresses. ts client remembers "last" domain\username used connect (reused) server address remember domain\username never correct "current" session.
since our client machines members of various domains, track domain names, have them up. using ".\username" works referencing local accounts and i'd able use similar ".\" refernce domain computer belongs to. i know we cannot leverage "%userdomain%" as must work before logon.
does know of way use "reference" computer domain (instead of real domain name) in username field? i'm thinking along lines of "%computerdomain%\myaccount" used, sample , doesn't work.
if find solution this, our staff use constant reference domain name (regardless of real name of domain) , because our account name consistent among customers huge (one less thing lookup repeatedly) , if domain name missing customer record, (with big grin) our records never incomplete.
thoughts welcome , appreciated!
if know should you might use regwrite write in reg_sz string here (client-side).
hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\terminal server client\servers\"myservername"\usernamehint
