Having trouble adding Windows 7 machine to Windows Server 2008 R2 domain
i have question. having trouble adding windows 7 machine windows server 2008 r2. have set client perferred dns server dns address. have made sure add computer in active directory users , computers section of windows server 2008 r2 designated folder "computes".
i @ part going adding computer domain. type domain name, "70-640". following error, "the following error occurred attempting join domain, "70-640": attempt resolve dns name of domain controller in domain being join has failed. please verify client configured reach dns server can resolve dns names in target domain.
how this? using oracle virtual box , have 2 virtual machines set up. tech buddies should not matter. please help! :d
you can refer below links. make sure there proper connectivity between dc & win7 clients & there no port issues. disable local windows firewall service on dc on client system. see, can ping dc win7 clients(make sure icmp not blocked).
