Windows Server 2008 R2 - Local Policies / Audite Policy settings
i have w2k8 r2 server. using gpo's, have set local policies settings need them be. if logon server , check local security policy settings see of audit policy settings show "no auditing". if run "gpupdate /force" , reopen local security policy settings show settings had applided via gpo.
if re-boot server settings go "no auditing".
i thought might display issue when tested settings , when showing "no auditing" don't see success and/or failures. if run gpupdate /force , verify settings correct , test settings , see success and/or failures being recorded.
running gpresult / rsop shows settings should applied gpo.
i don't have issue windows server 2003 servers.
am missing something? bug in w2k8 r2? have 28 w2k8 r2 servers , behaving same, in different forest/domains.
any assitance appreicated.

guys, wouldn't rely on secpol.msc looking @ audit policy on r2. go command line , try auditpol /list /category , auditpol /get /category:"..." , should see real results. there granular auditing technology, means wouldn't trust old auditing settings view.
