Enhanced point and print driver overrules other print drivers
hi there
i have question regarding server 2012 , "microsoft enhanced point , print compatibility driver". causing great deal of trouble in company not work our windows 7 x64 clients.
i've installed every printer specific print drivers know works both windows 7 , xp clients , has been running smoothly several months now. see when users adding printers our printserver - chooses enhanced point , print driver on driver specified printer should use. , happens every time.
my question is:
is there anyway disable this, clients use specified drivers instead of choosing enhanced point , print driver??
the server should sending driver windows 7 when print driver in use class driver vendor included in server 2012 or when vendor provides type 4 driver device.
when using type 3 drivers architecture specific driver should downloaded client when exists on server or copied windows update when have default policies enabled feature in domain.
you must use type 3 drivers avoid enhanced point , print driver.
a side affect of type 4 drivers , windows 7 clients all print job rendering performed on server.
