Group Policy Failures
we have number of servers in same subnet failing process group policies, there several other servers within same subnet working fine. rule out network issues, although can't fully.
we running windows 2008 sp2 , 2008r2.
event id1058
the processing of group policy failed. windows attempted read file \\hosted.internal\sysvol\hosted.internal\policies\{1e6f9167-095b-421d-84bb-99b3519c6c21}\gpt.ini domain controller , not successful. group policy settings may not applied until event resolved. issue may transient , caused 1 or more of following:
a) name resolution/network connectivity current domain controller.
b) file replication service latency (a file created on domain controller has not replicated current domain controller).
c) distributed file system (dfs) client has been disabled.
any ideas appreciated
seems sysvol folder not replicating properly
make sure distributed file system service running on servers. (go services.msc , check service).
try forcing replication of sysvol folder between domain controllers.
