hi,

if hyper-v computer windows server backup, need backup vms, after that, must restore vms @ same time(you can’t backup/restore individual vm).

for more information, can refer to:

how hyper-v virtual machines parent partition on windows server 2008-based computer using windows server backup

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958662

by way, if want backup/restore individual vm in future, may consider using microsoft data protection manager.

http://www.microsoft.com/systemcenter/dataprotectionmanager/en/us/default.aspx

best regards,

vincent hu
