Problems while moving Exchange 2007 Server Public folders to Exchange 2010
hi!
i am currently migrating our server windows sbs 2008 to windows sbs 2011th
i have come to the part where i'm going to move exchange server public folders from exchange 2007 to exchange 2010.
i started to run command get-publicfolderscript statistics on the source server to get list to compare after transfer.
then i ran the command moveallreplicas.ps1-server "source server" newserver - "destination server"
when after a while running get-publicfolderscript statistics on the destination server ist the same on source server. perfect!
then i incur default database and will then remove the public folder database on the source server, get error message that it not empty.
i started trying to remove the content in database in every way.
when come back next day the database is the source server is empty. (understand that you should not have such rush).
when run another getpublicfolderstatistics on destination server, see that now there files missing if compare list yesterday.
hmmm. can i have deleted on the source server?
what do recommend i do?
should i make an restore off my public folder database on the source server and repeat procedure and not fiddle with anything until i see is completely empty?can there be conflict because there is already data in the public folder database on the destination server?
should remove everything in database on destination server before do the migration 1 more time? is there anything else i should consider?
thanks in advance!
