directory rights disappear when accessed

i have server 2003 folder \data\cdvol1

\data shared data$

data$ published in dfs

group policy mapping s: \\domain.com\data\cdvol1

on windows 7 desktop, can access cdvol1 no problems.

if access notebook, following symptom.

right after login, can see drive s, it's total space, , free space.

if click on drive s, can see subfolders second, disappear , drive s disappears left hand pane in windows explorer.  if go level , refresh "my computer", drive s reappears, "not accessible".

i can not figure out why notebook behaving differently desktop, or group policy setting may affecting this.

any appreciated.

have a try on configure slow-link mode policy disable , see if issue still exists.

meanwhile, whether can still access mapped drive though shows not accessible? or can access \\domain.com\data?

Suspicious event log Event ID: 4905

DCOM received error "2147746132" from...
