Portable DVD Windows Server 2008 on HP DL380 G3

hi, can help?  saw on here had installed windows server 2008 onto hp dl380 g3 via external dvd drive.  i've been trying can't server boot device or usb drive.  server on has cd , floppy (remember days!) can tell me how please?

can try plugging in external dvd usb drive , cold booting system, enter bios. chech boot order in bios , ensure dvd drive listed above hard drive. alternative stand windows deployment server (wds). in way can use pxe kick deployment servers not have dvd-rom. many customers use combination of wds , microsoft deployment toolkit 2010 update 1 it’s free solution accelerator designed perform automated deployments of windows.
