Demote offline Windows 2003 domain controller

we have mixed windows 2003 2008 domain controllers. 1 of 2003 domain controllers has been offline year due network connectivity issue. can bring network concern may have exceeded tombstone period, , cause problems in ad.

now remove offline dc ad. plan not bother bring online , go ahead manual removal procedure. best way @ point? if run metadata clean up, matter if 03 dc or 08 dc?

 the best practice,you metadata cleanup remove offline dc domain.doesn't matter run on 2003 or 2008.

after make sure aduc,dns,dfs,ad site , services recordes updated.
