Remote Desktop connection refused - Macbook running Yosemite

i running remote desktop app on macbook pro w/retina, running yosemite, using latest version of rdp app.  i trying connect windows 7 ultimate computer, can connect using other computer without issues. getting "connection refused" message. 

if run virtual machine on same macbook (using parallels) windows 8.1 install on vm, can connect windows 7 ultimate computer using windows version of rdp.


thank you.  i have contacted apple support.  i running 8.0.10.
