wbadmin - System State backups fail

windows server 2008 x64 exchange 2007 installed.  not dc.

have symantec backupexec 12 fails on system state.  microsoft issue wbadmin command line tool not backup system state either.

below returned.  cannot find other instance of issue.  log files referred empty.

has ideas????

i noticed when trying run system state backup using csdmp 2007 against windows 2008 domain controller. running wbadmin command locally gives me same error folks listing here. don’t know if it’s related see event id 300 (lsass (552) database engine initiating recovery steps), 301 (lsass (552) database engine has begun replaying logfile \\?\globalroot\device\harddiskvolumeshadowcopy7\windows\ntds\edb.log.

),  and 302 (lsass (552) database engine has completed recovery steps.) right before event id 517 every time initiate command.

DFSR RPC replication errors 5014 1726 with large files over VPN
