Random drop of Hyper-V from network.
hi
have hp windows 2012r2 hyper-v server hosting 6 vm's.
server has 4 nic's , 2 virtual switches. each virtual switch hosts
3 of vm's.
while now, , @ random, 1 or other of 2 virtual switches or
nic's bound to, loose there connetion our netgear physical switches.
have tried swapping nic's switches around, cables, physical
switches virtual switches connected too, try , isolate fault, no luck.
there nothing in event logs show , issues of note , when connection between host , physical switches drops, actual connection appears still intact. i.e. host , physical switches both show valis conectivity lights, vm's or physical nic on server no longer "pingable" , no data traffic occurs.
fix ither reset of physical nic on server (disable , re-enable in device manager) or reboot of physical switches.
unable confirm if server or physical switch fault , mentioned, happens maybe once overnight every few days.
ideas cause?
cheers

hello,
try disabling vmq on server's network adapters. ensure server date (has windows , hardware vendor's updates installed).
Windows Server > Hyper-V
