Folder Redirection Share Location Change Not Working Reliably

we have changed folder redirection policy move contents new location , works on first computer user logs (normally desktop pc).  however, when log second pc (normally laptop cached offline copy of redirected folders, not connect new share location automatically despite verifying policy applied in gpresult command output.  this on local lan.

if run group policy results wizard, , check settings, folder redirection settings documents folder not listed configured in way.  the laptop still trying connect old share location despite gpupdate /force commands , multiple reboots.

sometimes works , won't unless delete user profile windows 7 laptop , have user log in newly created windows profile.

is there better , reliable way of user's workstations pick new redirected share location?  deleting local profiles drastic , labor intensive.

i think have narrowed issue down offline folder syncing not redirecting after folder redirection location changes.

what steps offline files sync new documents redirection location after change?

for instance documents redirected \\server\usersdocs\docs

new policy redirects \\server\newuserdocs\%username%\docs

folder redirection new location changed , documents move old share new share on server, offline cache still attempts sync older share location.

deleting user profile workstation works, need less disruptive , more automated way change offline syncing match new document redirection location.
