Doing a repair install on Server 2003 with a Server 2003 R2 disc.

hello.

my company importing 2003 server virtual environment. unfortunately, server installed oem license. have volume license need use, , i've read way convert repair install vl disc. being said, server 2003 not in volume license list, rather server 2003 r2. repair install server 2003 (non-r2) successful?

more or less sure you are not able a repair of windows server 2003 machine windows server 2003 r2. unfortunal upgrade should not work because of different licensing.

Suspicious event log Event ID: 4905
