W2K8 R2 DC - Domain Network Location Profile not Active anymore

a few days ago i updated our w2k8 r2 domain controllers , few 2008r2 servers august 2010 updates wu. after restart noticed domain location profile substituted public profile.

this happens on 2008 r2 domain member servers , w7 domain clients @ next reboot [or when network changes]. windows 2008 member servers , vista clients keep domain profile , seems not affected.

 

has seen behavior or know what's wrong?

problem solved.

we have leftover [intended] gpo entry our first directaccess attempt. “corporate domain location determination url” gp pointed our network location server. nls server still operative [and waiting next uag 2010 directaccess shot], somehow [nls] webserver certificate got corrupted giving error when binding port 443. deleting old , bind new certificate solved problem.

this explain why 2008 r2 , w7 affected. nla service apparently check both “ad ping” , nls connection before determine network category.

Suspicious event log Event ID: 4905

DCOM received error "2147746132" from...
