Attempting to inplace upgrade VM server 2008R2 (IBM ROK) to Server 2012

attempting inplace upgrade vm server 2008r2 (ibm rok) server 2012 fails error message:

upgrades build have been disabled

the server has latest windows updates installed.

any ideas gratefully received thanks.

please run the system update readiness tool.

then check that the log clear of errors;

failing can try repair install, patch again, try upgrade once more.

Suspicious event log Event ID: 4905
