Problem Updating Windows Server

hello everyone,

i have been having issue trying run windows updates on ad server windows server 2012 r2.

all updates failing error code 0x8007371b  (i have looked @ other sites , forums , found others have been reinstalling os fix issue... that's not considered fix in opinion, other sites suggest run dism cleanup have done or use windows update readiness tool tool not available 2012 can see)

i have ran dism image cleanup scanhealth , restorehealth , have tried manually download , install updates still failing same error.

i have reviewed cbs logs , windows update logs , still unable find causing issue. (i did notice windows update log says "does use network; @ background priority" , able follow troubleshooting steps updates still continue fail.

we downloading updates directly windows update site (no wsus)

that's damaged/corrupted windows installation kind of issue.

extended troubleshooting of sxs integrity , cbs subsystems (deep log diving) required.

it may difficult of via forums. perhaps raise support case microsoft?
(or reinstall might quicker, if can  add server dc , migrate fsmo roles new dc?)

Suspicious event log Event ID: 4905

DCOM received error "2147746132" from...
