Printer preferences don't stick when printing through RDP

windows 7 client, rdp windows 2012 server. rdp session pulling printers win 7, , print drivers installed on server. printing works expected except print quality settings. on local client, print quality setting set black & white. when logging server, setting defaults "auto color", regardless of changes make on server or on client.

additionally 2 trays show in remote session, when there 4 trays available on printer. believe problem 2008 awhile until hotfix released.

any ideas?

first of please update rdc version rdp 8.1 better functionality. try install below updates windows 7 , check result.

Suspicious event log Event ID: 4905
