Windows 7 to Windows 10 Migration - AppData Local goes to redirected profile

hi all,

i have issue users used use windows 7 , logon windows 10.

their appdata local go redirected profile, although group policy configured exclude following values:

[hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\winlogon]
"excludeprofiledirs"="appdata\\local;appdata\\locallow;$recycle.bin"

do know goes how stop happening? users have 5gb .ost files , slows down login time.

i've checked many threads , can't find anything. should .v2 , .v5 profiles should in seperate folders on network share? let's .v2 goes \\storage\profiles , .v5 goes \\storage\10profiles\ ?

thanks!

> why configure roaming profile , folder redirection simultaneously.

because best practice - use roaming profiles,
size of profile matters heavily on logon/logoff. microsoft
recommends use folder redirection reduce roaming part of
profile - more 10 years...

i understand comment not helpful - i've
never seen local appdata roaming profile.
