serious problem!!!!

 

good night, have serious problem.
i have machine (vhd) , 2 snapshost (avhd).
by negligence, have removed machine in console, have created once again, copied , pasted vhd avhd.
is posible recover machine snapshots?. have no boots, i think it's gui of virtual machine

i did test follow method provide john paul cook, , got same error you.

 

after merge first avhd(snapshot1) vhd, connect vhd file new created vm, start vm, , can find change marked after create snapshot1.

 

so can try connect vhd new vm after merge first avhd. see if can find change in snapshot2.

 

based on test, there way merge disk:

 

1, find second avhd (the second child differencing disk) , rename file extension vhd.

2, using edit disk wizard perform merge parent(the parent first avhd here).

3, find first avhd (the first child differencing disk) , rename file extension vhd.

4, using edit disk wizard perform merge parent(the parent vhd here).
