joining an SBS 2011 Standard server to an existing Windows Server Essentials 2012 domain

i have existing domain windows server 2012 essentials domain controller.  going adding windows sbs 2011 standard server domain handle exchange , various other things.  other posts, appears sbs 2011 machine should installed in migration mode.  correct , there other considerations?

ok, yes have essentials , yes trying exchange without costing arm , leg. "believe" have considered alternatives, , small operation one, going standard host there accounting applications , then  sbs email etc. seemed way go. sbs 2011 has worked out in past.  need ordinary server platform hosting accounting app. unfortunately lose of makes essentials nice.

Suspicious event log Event ID: 4905

DCOM received error "2147746132" from...
