Setup ADFS and DirSync for Office 365

hi,

our domain on server 2003. need setup sso office 365 (adfs , dirsync).

i have purchased server 2008 licenses setup adfs , dirsync.

i need know couple of things:

1. have upgrade windows server 2003 active directory domain 2008 , add 1 of new server 2008 boxes additional domain controller before setting adfs , dirsync?

2. of fsmos have transferred 2008 domain controller?

please see if helpful http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/video/administering-office-365-jump-start-03-dirsync-sso-and-adfs.aspx. there other resources available in area.  there different implemenatations of adfs available,keeping adfs environment in seperate domain/forest , linking applications, keeping adfs , applications in same domain/forest etc., there huge design docs available in technet.. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc736690(v=ws.10).aspx

DFSR RPC replication errors 5014 1726 with large files over VPN
