hi,
do mean hidden attribute will automatically added every time un-check it?
my first thought third party program or specific group policy/script causes issue. please check if there application saving files folder may add hidden attribute it.
if there no clue, may have try enabling audit on folder , checking event logs occurs before hidden attribute added.
enabling file auditing 2-step process.
[1] configure "audit object access" in ad group policy or on server's local gpo. setting located under computer configuration-->windows settings-->security settings-->local policies-->audit policies. enable success/failure auditing "audit object access."
[2] configure audit entry on specific folder(s) wish audit. right-click on folder-->properties-->advanced. auditing tab, click add, enter users/groups whom wish audit , actions wish audit - auditing full control create audit entry every time opens/changes/closes/deletes file, or can audit delete operations.
