WScript exec method on windows server 2012

hi.

a few years ago coded app runs continuously on reporting server have.

it's job access our erp's software database , send emails originated selected actions performed on information system , provide end of day emails compilation of daily information.

the sending email part of app runs on newly deployed windows server 2012. however, app can keep alive when dont have internet connection, rigged code issuing ping command check if outside world reachable. , goes south! message when ping command issued through script "unable contact ip driver. general failure." bummer since if use command prompt window, server pings perfectly.

previously app ran fine on windows server 2008 r2, i'm guessing kind of auth/security problem. however, dont know how fix it, hence post.

does of can help? feel free ask question may think solve problem.

by chance new windows server 2012 deployed cloned server, without doing sysprep first?

Suspicious event log Event ID: 4905

hi thr, could please me understand causing such event logs generate ? as  i understand, vssvc.exe pertains volume shadow copy used backup purpose.  we have third party application used taking backup of servers. the event longs generated following messages: 1) attempt made unregister security event source. 2) attempt made register security event source. these events not regular generated on random days. standard fields: date:               2013/10/19 time:               02:32:19 importance:         critical rule name:          security event monitored machine:  <domain controller> log format:         windows log name:           security event id:           4905 in work hours:      yes dynamic fields: internal timestamp: 2013/10/19 ...

DCOM received error "2147746132" from...
