Windows Server 2008 SP2: can't enable Printer sharing
i'm trying enable the printer sharing option in sharing , discovery on windows server 2008.
when click on turn on printer sharing, nothing happens , stays off.
the printer listed on server network one.
there's no printer physically connected server.
the error message (in system log) is: the printer spooler failed share printer lx69 shared resource name lx69_test. error 1740. printer cannot used others on network.
thanks.

did verify file sharing functional? at point appears if there other software installed stomping on print spooler's rpc endpoint.
there registry key block spooler rpc endpoint. if not exist it's never been used
hkey_local_machine\software\policies\microsoft\windows nt\printers\registerspoolerremoterpcendpoint
normally set 1
there policy default not configured. if it's disabled clients can't connect spooler not think happening here since client throws error @ connection time.
computer \ admin templates \ printers \ allow print spooler accept client connections
