2012 R2 Datacenter Network Drive Mapping issue on single NIC interface
i have run odd issue, on new server replacing existing server, regarding accessing network share on domain-joined windows 2012 r2 datacenter server.
it has ip address on intranet admin side , ip address on client's network. i have created network share appropriate ntfs & share permissions allow access files within network share.
from server within intranet admin side of network can create network mapped drive share using domain account credentials or local server account credentials. yet if try access same share client's network access denied. however, using client's network same domain credentials or local server credentials can rdp server fine , view files. the issue appears related mapping network drive share via client's network.
both network paths traverse through f5 bigip , network guy did tcp dump , traffic shoes reaching server before being denied. trying figure out why network mapping works fine intranet admin side not client's network using same domain or local server credentials.
the client's network team has stated new server has same rules applied current server traffic network wise should same. the ou new server drastically more secure ou existing server resides.
i'm not sure next underlying cause of issue. since can map network drive intranet admin side share using both domain , local server credentials, rdp server using same credentials on both intranet admin , client's networks have issue when try map network drive client's network.
i tested mapping network drive existing server new server eliminate firewalls, f5 bigip , other stuff could. these servers on same subnet both client's network , intranet admin network. from old server new server mapping network drive via intranet admin subnet worked while same test using client's subnet failed.
i hoped find stood out cause issue far have not found it. i thought there might ou setting cause this, think that setting should affect both networks not 1 interface.
any ideas might causing issue?
