Cannot connect to RDS Farm name with Windows 7/2008 server client. XP/2003 server client works fine.

hello!

we have remote desktop farm 4 hosts.  farm name dns record setup round robin 4 host ip's.
hosts windows 2008 r2 servers.

when attempt rdp farm name windows 7 client or windows 2008 server client times out (after about 3-4 minutes)during "securing remote connection."  error "this computer can't connect remote computer.  connection lost due network error.  try connecting again."   when attempt rdp farm name windows xp or windows 2003 server client immediatly connects without issue.

worstations tested on same domain , subnet of each other.
windows 7/2008 clients have no problem rdping host names directly, farm name causes issue.
have seen connect twice on 1 of windows 7 clients out of 30 attempts.  delay minutes long , 2nd attempt fails.

looking grand ideas of on , difference between how xp/2003 connect vs 7/2008.

thanks!

hi,

please try:

navigate following value:
hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\control\terminal server\winstations\rdp-tcp

specified value of lanadapter 0 (means rdp listen on lan adapters )

changed security layer "negotiate" under rdp-tcp properties in tsconfig.msc

regards,
