WSUS 3.0 SP2 - migrate approvals between groups

hello,

what i'd do, simply, move approvals old group newly created group. example, have oldgroup thousands of approvals, i've created newgroup whatever reason computers in oldgroup need in. can use api tools such wsusmigrateimport/export move approvals oldgroup newgroup? trying avoid having re-apply every single approval newgroup.

you may able use api tools that, there way using console can this.

create custom update view "update approved specific group", , select oldgroup specified group.

now have view contains updates approved old group.

select updates, , approve for new group. if have significant number of updates approved, might choose break smaller categories of updates. example, perhaps security updates, critical updates, else.

also, don't forget consider superseded , obsolete updates might still approved oldgroup never needed new group.
