Increasing the space in the server

dear all,

we have server in c drive space full. running sharepoint in server.

my secondary d drive has lot of free space , planning move space c drive.

will default steps (shrinking space d , becoming unallocated , expand c drive space) recommended or should install softwares partition magic so. using windows server 2008 r2. know if doing above steps affect server/application in anyways.

please advice.

are running on vm or physical? if shrink d: c: able see it? on same lun or physical disk?

if can shrink d: , c: able use it, should fine.

Suspicious event log Event ID: 4905

DCOM received error "2147746132" from...
