hello all, i having issue windows server 2012 dns. external websites not opening in of browsers on of machines inside our network. websites not open @ all, while others fail immediately, shortly after load page itself. have 2 dc each dns installed, , 1 zone. forwarders set googles dns. if clear cache on dns servers works short time(a few minutes) before reverting not working. manually entering google dns servers computer makes site work (except local browsing). msn.com seems 1 of sites consistnetly not work have been using test. nslookup returns same address whether msn.com working or not , receive same results nslookup. hi, according description, understanding external websites can’t accessed, clear dns servers’ cache works temporarily, , nslookup returns correct answers. since clear dns servers’ cache can work, may try short expired time of cached records editing registry key maxcachettl. detailed information may reference: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb...

hi @all, have 2 datacenters, both behind nat router connected via site2site vpn. i've got ipv6 , ipv4 enabled through isp in real dualstack configuration. means have real ipv4 , real ipv6 address. having ipv4 domain controller replicated through ipv4 there no problem @ all. since have ipv6 assigned both sites want communicate via ipv6 preferably, cannot since there no direct access or configured , domain controller replication curently not running. there switch available tell domain controllers communicate via ipv4 preferably? cheers, matthias matthias, in experience, "preference" registry settings tend not entirely reliable. as far can tell, need disable ipv6 until infrastructure supports it. hth marcin Windows Server  >  Dire...

hi. i´m working on project need allow multiple sessions ( done ), limit number of concurrent sessions on rds farm... at moment, we're using 1 rds server ( r&d stage ), in future, there'll farm rds connection broker , many rds session hosts. i've come conclusion best approach create custom gpo, apply rds session hosts, , use vbscript or powershell block logon when number of sessions reaches defined limit. i'd achieve group based ( groups: 1rdssession, 2rdssession , on ... ) user logon limit. have ideas in mind single server, , possible solution farm. but before spending time on "adventure" ( kind of challenge :) ), i'd know if windows2012 provides means doing kind of control. i know there's per server sessions limit, doesn't solve problem. thanks in advance! hi, i recommend go team and consider making adjustments to your model instead use unique accounts each person , (preferably) restrict each account single session.  if ...
